New Curriculum For 2010

Adaptable for children ages 2-5, a high quality, professionally designed early learning program that creates enthusiasm for learning and builds school readiness skills. The monthly activity kits provide educators and parents with strategies for children with various developmental needs, experiences, and culture. Activities and assessment materials are aligned with early learning standards.
The Starter Pack comes with all monthly activity kits or with your initial order for the curriculum year.* Included is a program overview, weather display and pieces, laminated calendar grid, Spanish word pieces, and laminated display bases. The Starter Pack also includes a Parent Guide, serving as an introduction to the curriculum.
Each monthly Teacher Pack contains a Curriculum Guide and teaching supplies. In addition to alphabet, sign language, color, shape, and number displays, the pack includes a children’s storybook, laminated math game, alphabet word cards, learning center materials, topic cards, and calendar pieces.
Activity kits contain a number of supplies for each child. 12 prepackaged art activities, letter and number practice sheets, and a parent newsletter are just a few of many children’s supplies you can expect with each kit!

Christian Curriculum Daily
Bible-based, non-denominational and structured in a kid-friendly manner, our monthly Christian Supplement helps children understand what God's Word means for them. Each Monthly Bible story is divided into 5 individual lessons that feature a Bible verse, Prayer Ideas, Songs and Games, and Story Props. Pre-planned for flexibility, lessons correspond to a theme, special day or holiday in the monthly activity kit.

I am making our preschool program with a Christian foundation. We will base lessons on the bible and God's word. We will continue to say our mealtime prayers. We will start circle time with a morning prayer and bible song. I am also adding leadership to this as well. I will send home bible studies that are to be completed with the families on occassion. If they bring these back on time they will earn a stamp! As their chart fills up they will rewarded with a treasure/gift. Every week we will desinate a leader for the group based on participation and behavior. We will end our day with a prayer about our families and friends.

We will begin circle times and morning lesson's at 8:30 am every morning! We have alot to pack in the day!!
We will also begin an afternoon curriculum at 3:30.

I LOVE what I do and being able to teach your children is a blessing!

About Me

My name is Jessica, I have lived in the West Frisco/Little Elm area for 6 years now. I have been married to my husband for 11 years and we have 3 boys together (10 yrs old, 8 and 3 years old).

I decided to watch children about 9 years ago when I couldn't find a quality in-home for my son. I was one of the unfortunate parents that didn't find anything that worked for our family. I decided to help other families and give them what I was looking for. Children are very special to me and teaching them is so rewarding. I have a great group of kids I am caring for right now but we still have a couple openings. I do have a full time assistant so the teacher/student ratio is smaller. I strive to be a reliable, honest and loving in-home provider.

I serve at our church in the Children's Ministry 2 weekends a month. I work directly with the children and also teach through skits on stage with other church members.

I am certified in First Aid and CPR and renew courses annually.

Registered with Texas State Licensing office. Inspected Annually, background checks completed, orientation completed, Minimum Standard Inspection completed.

Completed courses in Responding to Challenging behavior in Infants and Toddlers, Intro to Infant and Toddler Social Development, Routines and Environments that Support Social/Emotional Development in Infants/Toddlers, Understanding Infant and Toddler Development, Establishing Positive Relationships with Families, Brain Development/ SIDS / Shaken Baby Syndrome, Ensuring Health and Safety in Infants and Toddlers, Healthy Eaters (Infants/Todders)

I look forward to talking with you!

Policies and Procedures

My Childcare Philosophy

As a family childcare provider, my goal is to provide a safe and happy place for the children where they can learn and grow physically, emotionally, intellectually and socially at their own pace. I believe children learn through play and benefit from a structured yet flexible schedule. Activities will be offered which stimulate sensory motor development, language development and social interaction. The development of strong self-esteem is also a major goal. Children will be taught to respect each other, adults and property. I purchase a curriculum which is utilized August-End of May. Summer months we will have a break but still learn! We will be very busy doing summer activities too.

Payment Procedures

Payment is due in cash the Friday morning before the following week begins. A receipt will be written each time tuition is paid. For all new children, 2 weeks payment is due upon starting. The second week goes towards their last week in care. If 2 week resignation is given the last week will be taken care of.
2 years and up tuition is $165/week
Under 2 years old tuition is $185/week
You are still responsible for paying all fees for your contracted days regardless of whether you come or not. This insures your child has a spot in my program.

$35 per child supply fee due twice a year (Jan. 8th and July 31st)

Hours

7:00- 5:30 Monday - Friday
*$1.00 late fee for every minute you are late*

Paid Holidays

New Year's Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day

Occasionally I will have to leave for a doctor's appt. The benefit of having an assistant is that you will still have someone to care for your child. Also, if I get sick she will be available at my home.

Personal Belongings

Please bring a change of clothes for each child including underwear and socks. Diapers, wipes, diaper rash cream should also be brought for each child. Each child will need a nap mat or blanket and pillow. These items can be left and they will be sent home every Friday to be washed and returned on Monday. Please do not bring any toys from home unless they have an attachment to it and need it to sleep.

Meals

A nutritious lunch will be served to all children 12 months and up at no extra cost to you. Breakfast is not included but you are welcome to send it with your child every morning. I also include all snacks and drinks.
Children will learn the blessing and say before each mealtime. Hands will be washed and sanitized before and after meals/snacks.
*If your child has a special diet please pack their lunch*

Illness Policy

Under no circumstances will a sick child be allowed in my home. Sick children expose other children as well as myself and my family. If your child is running a fever of 99.5 under their arm, 100 degrees orally or 100.4 rectally parents will be called and the child has to be picked up immediately! No exceptions. The child has to be fever free for 24 hours in order to return to childcare. This also goes for vomiting and diarrhea....
Runny Nose: Children will clear runny noses are ok but if it turns green or yellow it is not acceptable for childcare.
Crusty/Red/Matted Eyes: Runny, crusted or green stuff coming out of eyes is not acceptable for childcare and children will be sent home immediately.

These are just some basic policies and procedures. I do have a handbook that is more thorough that I ask you to read through and sign for my records upon enrollment.
